Haskap & Strawberry Freezer Jam Recipe

You will love this jam! It's like summer in a jar.

We also love this with just haskaps or any other fruit you like! 

Ingredients (makes about 5 × 250 ml jars)

  • 2 cups (1 000 ml) crushed haskap berries 

  • 2 cups (1 000 ml) crushed strawberries (hulled)
  • 1 ⅓ to 1½ cups granulated sugar (start with 1½; you can reduce to taste)

  • 1 pouch (45 g)  Freezer Jam Pectin 

Steps

  1. Prepare jars: Wash and rinse 5 freezer jars or 250 ml mason jars and lids. I liek to runt hem through the dishwasher while I prep the berries

  2. Crush berries: Crush haskaps & strawberries until you have 4 cups. I like to use a potato masher to do this. 

  3. Mix sugar & pectin: In a large bowl, blend the sugar and pectin pouch.

  4. Combine fruit: Stir in the crushed berries and mix for about 3 minutes. I

  5. Fill jars: Ladle the jam into jars, leaving a ½″ (1 cm) headspace. Wipe rims, seal jars tightly.

  6. Set & store: Let stand at room temperature until thickened (~30 minutes). Refrigerate up to 3 weeks or freeze up to 1 year (unopened).

    Enjoy this on top of brie cheese for a real crowd pleaser!
